5 Question Friday, Honesty & Pictures

Howdy howdy howdy! Last night I was to darn tired once Bree went to sleep to even think about blogging, so today's post is going to be full of stuff! I was gonna Vlog todays 5QF answers, but well...I got busy and now I look like crap, so the Vlog is going to have to wait, you'll just have to survive reading text instead of watching video :)

Ok, first lets do 5QF:

If you don't know what this is, visit Mama M.'s blog to get the low down and all the rules. Here are the questions, and underneath, will be my answers. Please feel free to answer these questions too over in the comments area, or even on your blog...just be sure to link up properly :) Thanks!

1. If you could, would you go back to high school?

2. If a genie appeared and granted you two wishes, what would they be? (And, no saying "more wishes".)

3. What kids show do you secretly like?

4. What is your beverage of choice?

5. What is something that you would change about yourself (or are working to change in yourself)?

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
1. Umm heck no! I didn't want to go the first time, why would I wanna do it again? I did ok in school, but I'm quiet and shy, I felt uncomfortable a lot. Once was enough :) I passed, no need to return.
2. Money, LOTS of it. Enough to live comfortably, debt free, and enough to pay it forward to a few people. I'd also wish for long healthy, happy lives for my kids (and myself & Bill).
3. Ummm after watching a gazillion of them over and over, I'm not sure I'm really LIKING any of them. I don't mind watching Little Bear, it seems to be my daughters favorite show at the moment.
4. McD's COKES! Duh. If you know me, you know this would be my answer. :)
5. My teeth. I'd love to have them all yanked out, and get dentures...then I'd work on my weight, because I'm a big fat mama.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

Ok, on with the next show :) My friend Mindi, over at Mamma's Cookie Jar and her mom have given me another honest scrap award! The rules are, that I'm supposed to tell you 10 things about myself. Then, I'm supposed to pass this award on to 10 more people. I'm not sure that I know 10 people that would do this so I might break that rule a little...

honest_scrap_large

10 Things about me...hmm.....

1. I'm fat. Pleasantly plump, a lard ass...however you want to say it.

2. My kids feel comfortable sharing things with me, and I'm thankful that they do, but once in a while, there are some things that are TMI (hint hint Zach!). :P

3. I'm an emotional eater...duh. You can tell that by looking at me LOL.

4. I wore casts on both legs/feet when I was a baby.

5. For my 16th birthday my dad got me 16 lavender colored roses, I LOVED it, never forgot it.

6. My memory most of the time sucks. Not just long term, but short term too. If you ever find me out roaming the streets, please return me home :)

7. I inherited my moms crappy sleep issues. Thank you mother :P I still love you.

8. My brother Robb caught my hair on fire once while playing with a lighter.

9. I spend to much time on the computer. Duh.

10. I love taking pictures! Just not of myself...keep the camera out of my face, it might break!

There ya have it, my honest 10 things about myself. Might be kinda goofy things, but to bad!

Now, to pass this on to some people...I will try, not sure if they will do it or not...

Can't give it back to Mindi or her mom, even though I'd like to... Lets see....

*My good online buddy Tammy :) She is in my mommy group, and a very honest person, and a great friend.

*Same goes for my online buddy Kami, she is also in my mommy group, and a very honest person and a great friend! She also makes fabulous purses and other things, which she has over at her Etsy store.

*A fairly new blogger, Bria, (my ex's wife, Jilly's step mom). She is a great person and very honest too! Maybe this will get her to update her blog :)

Unfortunatly I can't think of 10 that will do it, so we'll just go with those ladies...hopefully they'll participate :) Thanks again Mindi & Donna for the award.

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Are you ready for some pictures? I sure hope so! Yesterday was a VERY VERY WINDY day, but I tried to get some good pics anyways. I was hoping all 3 girls would cooperate and I could get some good pictures of them together, for making mothers day things...Miss Bree wasn't really interested though, she had her own agenda. I got some decent pics though of the girls, not all together all the time, but good ones anyways. Also got some of Jilly with her best friend Jackie who lives down the street. Enjoy!
Wow, so much to do
I've discovered some blogs that have give aways, nice ones. Things that I'd LOVE to have for the kids, and a few things I'd like to have for me. I try to enter for a chance to win these things, and so far, no luck. What drives me crazy is all the hoops you have to jump through to get entered in these things. Once in a while there are a few, where you just have to leave a comment on their blogs, that I can handle no sweat. But most are like, follow my blog, follow me on twitter, follow this company on twitter, become a fan on FB of me and the company, tweet daily, leave a comment, visit the company site and tell me what you like, subscribe to my site, blog about my give away and link to me, visit my friends site who is doing a give away too, name your firstborn after me, scratch my ass, and wait on me hand and foot while you are at it. Then you have to go back and comment that you did all those things! I suppose if you win these things, its worth it doing all this stuff, since you are going to get something for FREE. But dang, a lot of these things are a lot of work to try to win. Then, you are stuck with so called spam tweets, and blog updates. I don't really wanna see "win this, visit this blog, RT, #whatever" everytime I refresh twitter. Some of those I had to follow to win, thats all they post on twitter all day. Maybe if I win something I'll feel differently LOL.
How do these people get so lucky to even get these items to try out, and another to give away? I wanna be one of those people. We are broke and could use some new things to try and review :) I'm assuming to do so you have to have a 'popular' blog, with lots of followers and commenters. Who knows... But if there is ever an opening to do something like this, I'd love to!
In other news...I mopped the floor today. It was nice. Lasted for a few hours...until Jillian spilled sugar all over. How did she do this you may ask? She was in the kitchen getting something she shouldn't have been getting.
Bree hasn't been napping much lately, and wow she is quite the bear sometimes in the evenings. I'm anxiously awaiting bedtime. I don't know where she gets her energy though...she has been on the go all day since 7 a.m., its now almost 9 p.m..
I watched Dancing with the Stars tonight. I sure like the new way they are doing things on Tuesday nights this year. Its not so much of repeating the night before. They do funny skit things with the judges and dancers, more entertainment, its just much better... I was disappointed to see Jake go. I was really hoping it would be Pam...or Niecy. Hopefully they go next, in that order...then I think Chad should go....then Erin. I think the final two should be Evan and Nicole. Anyone else have opinions on this?
Looking out my window right now and see a big low bright moon...pretty cool.
Please keep my friend Mellisa in your thoughts and prayers. Tonight her sister was killed in a car accident. (If my memory is right, she leaves behind a young daughter) Just a few years ago Mel lost her brother to a car accident as well. So very sad.
I guess thats all for now. I'll post the QOTD below. Toodles!
QOTD: What is your favorite board game?
Tempted *Updated to add a pic
Vlogging seems to be the 'IN' thing to do lately. While I'm not a fan of being the one in front of a camera, I'm somewhat tempted to do one. Should I or shouldn't I? If I should, what kind of topic should I vlog about? Give me some thoughts :)
Well, things started out well today in the potty training department. During the night Bree woke up at 1 a.m. and she told me she had to go potty, so we went to the bathroom and she did! I was so proud of her. But...today went downhill. She pee'd in her pants several times and did a poopy too...bah. We'll keep trying, its just depressing after doing sooooo good the last several days.
Just watched Dancing With The Stars. Anyone else watch this? What do you think? Who should go? I don't care for Neicy & Pamela. Pamela seems to always have porno face while dancing, and it bothers me. I just don't care for her. To me it seems like she feels she is the sexiest person alive, I think she is artifical. Sorry Pam, I'm just not a fan. I think Evan and Anna did well but apparently the judges disagree, shows what I know.
Aubrey must want to follow in Grandma's footsteps. Tonight she was practicing her clown make up.
017
In case you were wondering, yes, my mom really was a clown. She even went to Russia and did clowning there on a mission type trip. Somewhere I have a picture...if I find it I'll post it.
FOUND IT! :)
Thats all for now, I'm tired and going to hit the sack in a few. Toodles!
The letter E & Yay Bree!
Last week Bree & I worked on the letter E. It worked out nicely that it was also Earth Day/Week. At one point Bree went 'green' to celebrate...in other words she colored her face & hands green with a marker. We didn't do to many things, but she seemed to have fun this week with what we did do.
E2collage
E1collage
Bree has been an awesome potty training girl this week! She decided on her own several days ago that she wanted to use the potty in the morning. I took that as a sign that she was ready to start using the potty again. We had tried a while back, but she lost interest and refused to wear panties after a few days. But, this week, she has done marvelous! We still have some accidents, but she's doing really well. When we are home she is wearing big girl panties, no diapers, unless its naptime or bedtime. I'm so proud of her, and I hope it keeps up, it would be nice to not have to buy diapers. Today was kinda funny. She said she had to pee. I was in the middle of something so I asked her to hold it a second. She went to the bathroom to wait for me. I went in there and she was sitting on the little potty with her pants on. I said, "You need to take your pants down to pee silly", her reply to me was, "No I don't Mommy, see?!" I looked and she pee'd, through her pants into her potty. Since she has done so well this week, Bill got her something. She said she wanted an umbrella to play outside in the rain, so he got her one, and also a rain coat & hat. Here is a picture...
ladybugbree
This weekend was somewhat quiet. Of course that changed as soon as the girls got home. And lots of hissy fits going on this evening, and not just by the children in the house...the worst one was not done by a female member of the house, but by the oldest member of the household.
I'm really really REALLY wanting to make some cookies to decorate. I keep talking myself out of it. Maybe I should, and make small ones as samples, maybe the girls could take some to a favorite teacher to share, or Bill could take some to work. Maybe if people tasted them they'd want to buy some. It is a busy cake season coming up...to bad I couldn't get some samples of that out there...with graduation and all. Gosh, I remember when I worked at the bakery in Walmart. Graduation killed us! Hundreds of cakes per day (special orders, not just the cakes for the case), most of them were full sheet cakes. We worked long hard hours from May-July pretty much.
Whelp, not really much to chit chat about right now so I'll close this and say Toodles!
QOTD: Do you have pets?
P.S. Mindi, if you are reading...I'm glad you put your blog back up! :)
TGIF! and Five Question Friday 4.23.10
Its Friday! That means I'm in for a somewhat quiet weekend...well as quiet as it can be with Bree around. Kels & Jilly will be gone this weekend so I won't have fighting between them to deal with, which makes things a lot quieter. Kels will spend most of her weekend babysitting, which she is excited about because she wants to buy herself a new purse from my friend Kami, who has this Etsy shop. Jilly will be at Bria's, her step mom's. Not much more time for visits there since Bria will be joining Jilly's dad in Norway in June.
Are you ready for 5 Question Friday? I hope so! You should know the drill by now. I do Mama M.'s 5QF, I put the questions, then below my answers. Please feel free to answer them as well over in the comments area, or even blog about them on YOUR blog. If you do, please link up to Mama M.'s. She has the official rules over at her site. Ok, here we go!
1. What was the first car you owned?
2. What song are you embarrassed to know the lyrics to?
3. Have you ever had stitches?
4. What was your first job?
5. Who is your favorite Sesame Street character?
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
1. Holy crap, I have to remember that far back? I think it was a 1972 Gran Tornino, a big old car, it was brown, white top, and had a stripe on the side that was yellowish...My 1st hubby found it for me, he was a old car freak...

2. Hmm a lot of Yo Gabba Gabba songs! I don't get to listen to real music anymore thanks to Bree :P

3. Yes I have. When I was little I was playing tag with my brothers. They ran out the door, I went to push it open and my hand went through it. I got 2 rows of stitches on my wrist. Not sure how many exactly, the scar is kinda faded so I can't count it well. The one good thing about having that scar as a child was when it came time to learn my right & left hand I could always remember my left by looking at my scar :) I've also had stitches for c-sections, and for a cyst I had removed next to my eye.

4. My first job was at Burger King. I worked there for quite a while actually.

5. When I was little my favorite charactor was Cookie Monster & Snuffleupagus (sp). I guess I liked cookie monster so much my dad started calling me Cookie...and that stuck for years. I think now, I like Elmo best, and maybe Abby Cadaby, she is cute.

There ya have it! Now you know a little more about me by my answers to the questions. I hope you enjoyed todays 5QF.

Now for a little question of my own for you to answer, todays QOTD will be posted below. Thanks for stopping by! Toodles!

QOTD: Do you garden? If yes, what do you plant?

Oldie but goodie

I was looking through old videos because I was bored, and came across one of my favorites of Bree & Jilly...and a toad. Jilly's laugh is so evil LOL...

Toad/frog from Renee Kofoid on Vimeo.

Don't froget (LOL joke, get it, since you just watched a toad/frog video haha) (really its a typo that I'm to lazy to fix) to read my previous post and give me your pricing thoughts.

See ya tomorrow for Five Question Friday! Toodles!

What would you pay?

I've been thinking about ways to earn money, yet still be home for the kids. I have no special training for a GOOD job that pays well, so it would be kind of silly to go to work and let someone raise my kids and me pay all my earnings to them. I thought about babysitting...but do I really want to do that? Not especially, but would if thats the only thing I can do to get more money. Then I thought of making cakes and cookies for people's special occassions. Not sure on what to charge though. I'd never be able to charge enough to pay for all the time I put into stuff, but my time isn't that important, I'd just like to make some money on the items, not break even. So I'm asking you, my readers, what you would pay for items.

How about cakes, with basic flowers?
8 or 9 in. round
1/4 sheet
1/2 sheet
full sheet

How about cakes with more personable things, things that are more time consuming...such as Bree's Kai Lan cake or some of the cakes here?
8 or 9 in. round
1/4 sheet
1/2 sheet
full sheet

How about decorated cookies? What would you pay for something like this or this (hopefully more pretty lol I'm still improving on my cookie skills)
per cookie?
how about a dozen?

I appreciate you taking the time to give me your opinions.

QOTD: Are you doing anything special 'green' for Earth Day today?

C, D, and a Silly Bree

I mentioned previously that I have been working with Bree on some letter crafts. We try to do a different letter each week. Now that the weather is getting nice we've slacked quite a bit, but have still managed to do some projects. Recently we did the letters C & D. For C we made chocolate chip cookies, caterpillers, crazy critters, a cherry tree, cotton candy, and a fake cookie.

001
Ccollage
For D week we did ducks made out of footprints, a dog bag puppet that we made to look like our Moo, daffodils, daisies made from a pop bottle, and a I love Daddy picture. Bree also picked a bunch of dandelions...which she does whether it's D week or not lol.

Dcollage

Bree has been silly yesterday & today, when she is not being super cranky. Last night she told me to open my mouth, so I did. She looked in there and said, "Hmmm Just what I thought, you have a frog in your throat!" What a goof. Today she did that again, so I got out the video camera. She again talked about a frog in my throat, and a donkey in my throat! LOL must be a big throat! The donkey she talks about is the one we told her that took the boobie milk when I was weaning (story is located here) and its also the same one that we told her took our cuddle chair (where we sat to nurse, and cuddle to get to sleep and back to sleep during the night) when we went to Springfield a few weeks ago. LOL don't laugh! Whatever works right? It has helped with the chair gone. Anyways, here are a few videos I took today of Bree being silly. Excuse the mess in the background.

In other news, I have a great friend named Kami :) She custom made a purse for me! Kelsey wants one now too. Kami totally made this purse by herself, it is awesome. She made a keychain to match too. It came today and I was soooo very excited. Thanks Kami! You should check out the stuff Kami makes on Etsy, cool stuff, she is very talented!

That's all I have for tonight, thanks for stopping by, have a great night/day, whatever it is when you read this :) Toodles!

Today's QOTD (Question of the Day) for you to answer in the comments area is: Do you have painted toenails right now? If so, what color? (mine are alternating bright pink & green, because I'm cool like that LOL)

5 Question Friday 4-16-10

Wow its April 16! A lot has happened in my life on this day. I was married to my first husband on a April 16, divorced from my second husband on a April 16, and found out I was pregnant with Bree on a April 16! I wonder if anything will happen today...if something does, I hope its something GOOD. (NO, I will not be announcing a pregnancy...not in the cards right now.)

Its also FRIDAY. You know what that means don't ya? It's time for my installment of Mama M.'s 5 Question Friday. I'll post her questions then my answers. Please feel free to answer these questions too over in the comments or even blog about them...but if you do so, please link up to Mama M (and me too please :) ). Are you ready? Here we go....

1. What words do you use on your blog/online that you don't use in real life?

2. Do you still write checks?

3. Who was your favorite President and why?

4. Are you a yeller?

5. Have you ever dumpster dived?
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
1. Ummm I guess LOL. I use it a lot (to much) when blogging and chatting, but I don't say L O L in real life, although its almost slipped a few times!
2. Yes I do, mostly for paying school lunches, stuff like that. Other then that I use my debit card...which gets me into trouble with the fast food joints. Before debit cards, if I didn't have cash in my purse I'd not stop for junk food, now all I have to do is whip out the card...its very dangerous.
3. Hmm I don't know. I didn't vote for anyone, so I just deal with whoever is in term. I guess I'd have to say Obama, I know a lot won't agree with me though. He is TRYING to make changes for the better (although they don't always seem to work out that way), and well, lets be honest, he isn't to bad to look at.
4. I have been known to yes...don't like that I do though. Sometimes its the only way I can be heard! No one listens to me EVER.
5. Actual dumpster diving I don't recall doing so...but I have picked up some used stuff on the side of the road on garbage day before. I got a dresser, repainted and finished it all nice and cute. I got a like new slide and ride on dragon toy for Bree too.
There ya have it! I hope you enjoyed this weeks questions and answers. I hope to hear from you soon on what your answers are :) Oh yeah, please be sure to answer today's Question of the day below. See ya in the comments area!
Nice Service
Today was Elliott's memorial service. While sad, it was a nice celebration of his life, with a lot of his friends & family there. Cindy did remarkable today. Dan seemed to not do as well during the service, but he was a little better after. Like Cindy told me, she thinks she's known this day was going to happen for quite a while and has prepared herself as best she could. I'm sure its really going to hit her once things settle down a little. When it does, I hope she calls me if she needs someone to talk to or hang out with.
It just dawned on me that I have a few pictures of Elliott on my computer, so I'd like to share them with you. Cindy & Dan usually have a July 4th party at their house, with swiming, food and friends, its a great time. I have a picture from July 07 and July 08. I might have more but if you saw all the pictures on my computer you'd understand why I can't find them at the moment...
Here he is being goofy. I remember him saying something totally preverted (because he was silly like that from time to time). Cindy is seen in the picture just shaking her head like "I can't believe you just said that". Everyone else was chuckling :)
034
This next one is him sitting at the food table chilling out
012
When we arrived at the service today Cindy asked Kelsey or I if we'd want to say a few words during the service. It caught me by surprise. I had a sleeping Bree on me (who slept through the whole service), so I declined. I probably would have frozen up if I got up there. But what I would have liked to have said if I did was this:
Elliott. I had the pleasure of meeting you several years ago, after meeting your mom through another caringbridge site. You are a great young man who has been through so much over the years, and you were such a fighter. I'm glad I had the pleasure to get to know you, and see your crazy side, and your brave side. I consider myself lucky to have known you, and your marvelous parents. Your mom and dad are awesome, they've been with you for everything, and fought along with you. They've been your advocate when you needed one. They are so proud to have you as a son and they will miss you every day. You put up such a strong fight when you were handed one crappy hand after another. Now is your time to rest Elliott. Rest in peace. We will never forget you.
Ok, thats all I've got tonight friends. Take a minute to hug your kids tightly and let them know they are loved. Toodles.
QOTD: (if you are new here thats the Question of the Day, please answer it in the comments)
If you knew that tomorrow would be the last full day of your life, how would you spend the day?
Wednesday, April 14, 2010
Interpret this will ya?
Sorry for the lack of post yesterday. I was just in a bad mood, didn't feel like blogging. Been stressing over some stuff.
Today was sad. We went to Elliott's wake. Cindy & Dan seemed to be holding up well, at least the little bit of time I was there. I'm sure they've had their times where they weren't though. Tomorrow is the memorial service. I'll be taking all the girls with me. I sure hope Bree cooperates. I think she will...might have to bribe her though.
So early this morning Bree woke up, I laid in her bed with her and got her back to sleep, then I went back to my bed for a bit. I got about another 30 minutes of sleep. In that time I had a weird dream. I'm going to copy & paste it from my mommy group where I told them about it...they all thought I was nuts LOL. Here ya go:
I dreamt we lived in a apartment thing, where there is hallways connecting other peoples places, and stairs in the hallway leading up to each persons door. Anyways, I was on the stairs, when in the hallway I saw this animal. It was huge. It was white and had like a polar bear body, but the face of a white tiger and a white mane like a lion. At that time it was just sitting there in the hallway. I was freaking out thinking it would try to come up to my home so I was trying to put up a baby gate to protect us LOL. I called our cats Tigger & Sissy and made them come in so the animal couldn't eat them. There was another cat in the hallway, a big fat ass black cat, it was wearing one of those old lady shower cap looking bonnets, it was yellow, and the cats name was Abner (LOL I didn't smoke anything or do drugs before going to bed, I promise). The animal went into an open door on the other side of the hall. Then, Kelsey comes out the doorway next to ours and I yelled to her to watch out and hurry up there was a big animal on the loose! Next thing I know the animal comes out and bites Kelsey's arm! I was throwing toys and rolls of duct tape at it to get it to let go of her. It did and she ran up the stairs. We went into our place and shut the door, then looked at her arm. It had teeth prints and a little broken skin, but that was it. Then I woke up. So besides me being nuts, what do you think?
OK, that's it for now, I have a stinky cranky Bree to tend to. Toodles
Be sure to take a second and answer today's QOTD in the comments area: Have you ever gotten stitches?
Pictures as promised!
Yesterday I promised pictures from our visit to my brothers in Springfield and by golly today I am fufilling that promise and posting a bunch! I put a lot in collage form so you can see more without to many pics loading. I hope you enjoy them.
So we got to Springfield on Thursday night, we visited and spent some time with Trinity getting used to us crazy girls lol. On Friday we had a busy day! We went to a zoo (had lunch at the zoo, we got surrounded by peacocks! They came right up to us and ate from Kelsey's hand!), then to a park, then we went home for a bit to refresh, then went out to dinner. We went to Darcy's for a horseshoe, it was YUMMY! Last time we went to another place that had them, it was featured on Diners Drive ins and Dives on the Food network, but to be honest they sucked. Darcy's is MUCH MUCH better. Thanks Beth for taking us there! Saturday we chilled out at the house with Robb & Trinity (Beth had to work). Spent most of the day outside and taking lots of pictures. Robb's house is so cool. Its big, and located way back away from the main road. When you turn in the long driveway road to get to his house you see a pond on the right, then down a bit there is a little bridge where the water goes underneath. The girls saw a snake there Saturday, and lots of frogs too. (ICK). Behind Robb & Beth's house is a lot of field areas and some trees. Back there we saw deers, and a pheasant. Sometimes they even see turkey's and hear coyotes (we didn't see them this time). Anyways, you get the picture, its a cool place :) Saturday was great (minus the sad news about Elliott :( ). Sunday we packed up and headed out. We got on the road around 10ish, and we stopped for a coke and gas, and we made it home by 12:20.
Here are the pictures as promised.
Oh, I forgot to mention lol, on Saturday morning Beth had to work, but Robb wouldn't be home for about another hour, so she asked if I would mind babysitting. I said no problem! So I had her wake me when she was leaving, then I got up to go to the other room so I'd be able to hear Trinity if she woke up. So I'm sitting in the recliner, in the semi dark room just relaxing when I saw something move. Over at the corner of the fire place was a MOUSE! EEK! I quickly got my feet up into the chair lol because I'm a chicken! The mouse scurried behind the entertainment center. Every so often he would peek out and I'd make a noise and it would run back. I *think* there were 2, one looked more brown, one looked like it had white on its face, but I was in shock so I could be imagining things haha. Anyways it finally got back up onto the fireplace then ran along the seat thing and into a vent in the brickwork. Mice are cute...as long as they are far away from me. They have a super clean house, but living out there with fields and wild life all around they are bound to get mice. I hope Robb is able to catch the little dude(s) soon.
I hope you enjoyed hearing and seeing pics about our trip. Sorry for the photo overload.
Please keep my friends Cindy & Dan in your thoughts as they prepare for their son's wake and memorial service later this week.
5 Question Friday on Sunday, and other stuff.
As you know I've been out of town, so that is why I haven't posted. I missed posting 5 Question Friday before I left so I'm going to get around to doing that in just a sec.. First I want to say that I have had Dan & Cindy in my thoughts big time lately. They have been there for a while since Elliott has been so sick and struggling in the hospital, but even more so now that he has passed. I know that he is in a better place, and no longer suffering, and he can finally rest after such a long battle of illness over the last several years, but its still hard. Elliott is Dan & Cindy's only child, its going to be a major adjustment for them now that he is gone. Please keep them in your thoughts and prayers. Cindy, if you are reading, big hugs to you. I love ya friend and if you need anything please by all means let me know.
The girls & I got home from my brothers around 12:20 today, but I've been busy ever since! I've had mountains of laundry, a messy house and a cranky little one to deal with. I finally got to sit down about 20 minutes ago, darn I'm beat! We had a great visit at Robb & Beth's house. The girls enjoyed running around over there (especially Bree). We spent a lot of time playing with Trinity, being outside, going to the zoo and park, eating out (yum!) and taking pics! I will have to post pics tomorrow. Right now I'm uploading some to Flickr, then I'll have to put some on picnik to make collages because well...I took a gazillion pics! 596 pics to be exact.
Ok, on with Mama M.'s 5 Question Friday, on Sunday...
1. Who would you want to play you in a movie of your life?
2. Did you ever go to summer camp?
3. What sends you running and screaming in the other direction?
4. What is something you do that drives your spouse nuts?
5. What is currently your favorite song?
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
1. I think if Queen Latifa could be white with make up then she'd be a good me :)

2. nope, to poor and to shy, didn't want to go, wasn't forced to.

3. Slimy stuff, critters, that kind of stuff. I don't like spiders, lizards, frogs, snakes...blah.

4. Everything? talk quietly I guess. He says I don't speak when he asks me things, I do, he just doesn't hear me. So either my voice is to quiet or he has selective hearing!

5. Do your boobs hang low do they wobble to and fro? Thats what I've been singing for some reason. That and the commercial song for I think Dairy Queen (maybe Baskin Robbins), "Ice cream and cake eat cake" I don't have a real favorite song because I never get to listen to music on the radio anymore. We always have the dvd player going in the back seat for Bree, so I listen to what she watches, and to the older girls bickering.

There ya have it! Better late then never right? Please feel free to answer these in the comments, or blog your own 5 question Friday.

I'll post more tomorrow, and have some pictures for sure. Right now, I'm beat, and will be heading to bed in a few if I am lucky...so Toodles...and please take a minute to answer todays Question of the Day posted below, over in the comments. Thanks!

Hey Ho Off We Go...

Whelp, it looks like Mama M. won't be posting her Thursday preview of the questions for 5 Question Friday until this evening, so I won't have a chance to post this weeks 5QF before leaving. Sorry! If I happen to get a chance to get onto my brothers pc I'll do it from his house, but I highly doubt that will be happening.

Right now Zach & Kelsey are at their college visit. While they are there they get their hair done. Zach called me to tell me he LOVES his, and he wants to go to school there. So we will see ... if he does, I hope its something he sticks to and enjoys it. Kelsey is still getting her hair worked on, I hope she likes hers as well. I bet she'll want to go to school there too, but she still has high school left.

Once they get back, we'll have an early dinner and hit the road! I can't wait to see Robb, Beth & Trinity. I'll take lots of pics of course. I probably won't get to post while gone, so see ya on Saturday night or Sunday afternoon. Miss me LOL. Take a few minutes to visit my community over there on the side---->. Leave a post or two, or more!

Toodles!

Please tell me its a joke

While I do love snow, I don't want any now! No snow from like March 15-Nov. 1. Sounds good doesn't it? Well, according to weather.com today, the town that I live in might get some snow showers tonight! Oh man! I hope they are wrong. Once I get the shorts & t-shirts out of storage I'm ready for warmth.

Thankfully its not going to last long if we do get some, plus, the girls & I will be a few hours from home, more south where its a bit warmer. When we get back the weather is supposed to be in the 70's again.

When is the latest you remember snow in IL? I remember having it on May 6th one year. It was my brothers birthday, and my mom & I were having a garage sale. We froze our asses off LOL. Snow in May is pure craziness!

Bree told me tonight that she was no longer a kitty, she is just Aubrey and I'm now just a mommy, I don't have to be a mommy kitty anymore. Yay! I bet by tomorrow she forgets though and she'll be meowing again. Silly girl.

Busy day here tomorrow. I've got cleaning to do, packing to finish, a van to load up. Kels & Zach are going to a college visit to a cosmetology school. Then in the evening the girls & I leave. Bill & Zach are staying behind. Its going to be a long drive...I hope the girls cooperate and don't fight, and I hope Bree is in a good mood! Please cross your fingers, say a prayer, or do whatever it is you do that our trip will go smoothly :) Thanks!

I'm hoping Mama M. posts her 5 Question Friday preview early tomorrow so I can get my post made before I go. If not, I'll have to do it when I return (unless my brother lets me use his computer to post).

Thats all for now, time for me to go to bed! I'm beat. Please take a second to view todays Question of the Day and leave your answer in the comments area. Thanks! Toodles :)

Some Weirdness & Good Times

Later this week the girls & I are going on a little trip. We are going to visit my brother, sister in law, and baby Trinity! I'm so excited. I think we've only seen Trinity once, and that was back in December when they came for Bree's birthday party. I wish we lived closer. Its about a 3 hr drive to their house from here. I'm not looking forward to the drive, but I am to the visit once we are there. We hope to try to visit the little zoo out there, and spend some time at a park too. I believe we are heading out Thursday night and returning either Saturday night or Sunday morning. It will be good times for sure!

Last time we visited my brother it was before Trinity was born. The girls LOVED spending time out there in Robb's HUGE house. To give you an idea of the size of my house compared to theirs, you could probably fit my whole house in about 2 rooms of their house. The way its laid out its like a race track for Bree, she had a blast.

Wow, I just realized I didn't take a single picture today! EEK! I must be ill.

OK, now on to the weirdness...SO, my son is gay, I believe you all know that by now, I've had it in his description over on the side by his picture for quite a while now. Anyways, that's not the weird part yet. My son has a new boyfriend...who happens to be a boy that had the hots for Kelsey last year! This same boy hung out with Kelsey several times and he even kissed her once. Kels apparently turned him gay (just kidding). Its just sooooo odd. My son & daughter have kissed the same person. WEIRD!

There ya have it. Not a very exciting post. Seems weird not having any pictures, so I think I'll add an old one from a week or so ago. Bree is reaching for a ring thing on the swing set. I love how blue her eyes are, with NO photo editing.

S L A C K E R (Thats me)

Wow, I haven't posted since Friday! OOPS! Sorry. I think I was to tired Saturday, and Sunday we had thunderstorms with lots of lightening so I shut down the pc at around 5:00 p.m. and I didn't end up turning it back on until today. Not much has happened since we last talked. Spent a lot of time outside, which is making my postings less and less it seems. Can't post while outside because I'm to poor to buy a laptop, and by the time we get in, its busy time making dinner, eating, baths, and trying to get a 2 yr old to go to sleep, by the time she does I'm usually ready to zonk myself. So consider that a warning (or a relief depending on how much you like/dislike my blog!) that posts may get even less for a bit.

Here are some pictures of our outside play on Saturday:

Easter Sunday the little girls checked out their goods from the rabbit, then we went outside for a little Easter egg hunt. We played outside some too, until the storms started. Here is a picture grouping from Easter:

The rest of the day consisted of sugar highs and wild girls...and a tired cranky mom!

Today after cleaning up the house a tad, we went to visit Grandma (My mom). After that, it was the usual busy evening stuff (and then Dancing With The Stars!). Here are some pics from todays visit to Grandma's. I didn't get pics of Kelsey though, she was to busy putting together a toy Grandma picked up for the grandkids to play on.

Thats all I've got! I hope I didn't bore you with the picture overload. Hopefully tomorrow's post will be more exciting (but don't hold your breath! LOL). Thanks for stopping by. Don't forget about the Question of the Day (QOTD), I post a question, and hope that YOU will give me your answer in the comments area.

5 Question Friday 4-2-10

Wow, Friday is almost over, and I'm just now getting around to posting!

Yep, its 5 Question Friday time. If you don't know what that is, please visit Mama M.'s site, it explains it all. Once again, one of my questions has been picked :) So please, take a minute to view the questions, read my answers, then tell me your own answers! You can do it in a comment here on my blog, or even blog your own 5 Question Friday...if you do that, be sure to link up over at Mama M's.
Questions:

1. Do you sing out loud in the car when you're driving?

2. What would you never be caught doing?

3. Will you go #2 in a public restroom?

4. Have you ever broken a bone?

5. Do you prefer cooking or baking?
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
My answers:
1. I rarely get to listen to music in the car. Usually Bree is watching her dvd player, its almost always showing Little Bear at the moment. BUT, if I do get a chance to listen to the radio, and recognize the songs being played, yes I do sing. Why not? :)
2. Ummm only gross things come to mind, like picking a wedgie, scratching my pooter or cooter, picking my nose...any of those sort of things...eww.
3. If I gotta poo I gotta poo! I don't care if its in a public john or not...they do have doors that close so its not like people are watching me...IF I know its going to be a noisy or nasty one, I tend to wait until there are as few people in the bathroom as possible, and I make all kinds of noise with the TP holder or the flusher to try to mask the sound...not much I can do for the stink part though...although my crap smells like roses, I'm sure of it. ;) Sometimes, if its really gross, I try to wait until everyone clears the john before I exit my stall, to avoid some embarrassment.
4. I've only broken fingers & toes. Lots of toe breakage, damn things keep getting in my way, I'm forever stubbing them.
5. Baking! I hate cooking. Maybe because its like mandatory, I HAVE to cook dinner daily etc. I don't HAVE to bake all the time...but I like to when I do. I can be more creative when baking, and stuff just tastes more yummier :) If only I could bake without eating to much...and without all the darn mess.
There ya have it! My installation of 5 Question Friday. I hope you enjoyed it. Thanks for stopping by!
I'm going to post a few pics real quick, because I can :) Then will come todays QOTD (question of the day). Please let me know what your answer would be in the comment area! Thanks.
It was a super windy day today! Here are a few pics of Jilly & Bree. Oh yeah, and one of our Easter eggs, some of them anyways...
April Fools part 2
Ok, I'm back. I chilled out a bit since my last post, but I'm still pissed, and my feelings were hurt. And still no haircut.
Anyways...This morning I tricked Kelsey a few times. First after waking her, I asked her if she wanted to skip school today. She of course jumped up and smiled and said YES! Then I told her April Fools :) She was not amused. Then, before leaving for school, I asked her if she'd rinse out Bree's medicine dropper thingy for me. When she did, she got drenched with water :) I had put a rubber band on the hose/sprayer thingy so when the water came on, it sprayed hehe :) Did you hear her yelling from where you are? She was not a happy camper. Its payback though. She has done that to me more than once. She tried getting me back the same way today, but failed. She tried a few other tricks but they failed too. That was about all the April Foolin' that went down here today.
It was another beautiful summer like day today. We were outside from about 10 this morning until about 6:30 this evening. We took a short break for lunch, and for me to come blog after my husband pissed me off but thats about it. Last night my husband moved Bree's swingset into the fenced in part of the yard, this totally rocks, now I can sit on my grown up swing and chill out while watching her play. Before I had to either stand the whole time or sit in the grass. So now its like a park in the backyard. Swingset, and sandbox, picnic tables, the works. Bree LOVES being outside.
Poor Miss Bree seems to either have a cold or allergies. Her eyes have been watering so bad today its often looked like she was crying with big ole tears going down her cheeks. She's also sneezing, and has a constanly runny nose. Not fun. She looks so miserable. It didn't stop her from her outside play today though thats for sure. I have been giving her a bit of benadryl, you'd think that would tire her out...it used to, but not anymore. She went strong all day, only had a tiny nap.
Jilly had a blast at school today for a change. Because the school had an inflatable party today! They rented a huge bounce house, giant slide, a obstacle course, and a bunge pull thingy. I get at the school about 15 min. early to pick the kids up to get a good spot for parking and the kids were having a blast on those things when I got there. Howcome schools didn't do anything fun like that when I was a kid?
I just realized I didn't get to do any crafty things for the letter B with Bree today...spent to much time outside! Maybe tomorrow we'll have to do one outside. We made some cute things yesterday though.
Here are a few pictures from our fun day outside yesterday. It was spent out back and at the park...I was worn out in the evening which is why I didn't get around to posting here (sorry).
Last night Bree got to bed early, so since the night before was crappy sleepwise, I thought I'd go early too while I had the chance. To bad my mind and body didn't cooperate. I tossed and turned for hours. When I finally did fall asleep, 10 minutes later the stupid dog had to go out to potty. After tossing and turning more, I finally got sleep....until 4 a.m. when I got up to pee and couldn't for the life of me doze back off. When I finally did, 15 minutes later Bree was up. Bah.
Hmmm was there anything else I was going to talk about? I can't remember...I guess thats a sign that I need to get my fat ass and over grown head of hair to bed. Toodles!
