We all know by now that I'm a fat chick, and I love food. I have a problem though, something that only happens in the summer time, and I'm seeking out help from my fellow fat chick friends, maybe you know of a way to resolve this (besides losing weight).
Friday night I will be walking in the Relay for Life. Before I go any further, let me just say I haven't met my $$$ goal yet and if anyone reading this blog would like to support me and donate, I'd really appreciate it! I'd even give you a shout-out on my blog :) If you would like to help, please to to MY PERSONAL Relay page.
So actually, the walk thing is part of my problem. More-so what I'm wearing to the walk. I'm wearing shorts. It's going to be 90 degrees, so shorts is a must. All my shorts create my problem. See, they start out OK, like this:
But...after walking a few steps they become this:
What is a good remedy for this? I don't want to have to be digging my shorts out of my cooter area every 10 feet or so of walking. It drives me crazy, and it doesn't look very appropriate having to dig something from your crotch area constantly. People might get the wrong idea he-he. Suggestions please :)
QOTD: Have you ever done the Relay for Life, or anything similar to it?
Toodles!

capri's. long enough to keep out of your crotch and short enough to keep you cool
I STILL wear pants! Even in hot weather!
Or, my hubby wears those legging things, by under armor. Women wear them too, under shorts, keep stuff from riding up. They're like boxer briefs!
(and I'll still stick to my pants!!)
Im with the Capris. or loose thin pants. I hate wearing shorts, then I start sweating then my legs also rub together and you get a rash! UGH! Id rather wear pants/capris.
I agree with all the comments so far...nix the shorts! Also use that anti-chafe stuff, especially with the heat you'll need it!
I love you and am proud you're doing the relay for life. Kelsey too!
Have you thought about a sturdier pair of shorts? Thicker material such as khaki shorts or longer shorts more bermuda length?
I don't own a single pair of shorts (except my bathing suit). I wear capris or pants always.
I wear stretchy bike shorts. I've always had a problem with large thighs (even when I was thin...eons ago. I find they are comfortable, even when it's hot. It's often over 100 here in the summer. Then I wear a tank top or long tshirt over it. It looks the best of the top is a bit long.
Good luck!!
Definately get some bike shorts to wear under your shorts. It will stop the "ride up" and will also help absorb the sweat. You can get them at Wally World for about $5. :) Good luck tomorrow!!
haha ~ u just made me laugh! I have resigned myself to the fact that I have to wear "walking shorts"
Thanks for the advice ladies. I ended up buying a pair of Capris. I didn't really want to spend the money, but I figured it was worth it to keep my hands from having to dig my shorts out of my cooter. Cheers :)
Congrats on the walk!
